Meet the Director--Caryn Reitkopp
Caryn has taught children in various settings for the past 10 years. She has worked in private schools, public schools, charter schools and even abroad, teaching English to Spanish speaking children. After having her twins, in September 2007, she decided to pursue working in a setting where she could use her teaching experience and be near her children at the same time. Caryn joined MCCA in May 2009.
Caryn is a local, having attended Winston Churchill H.S. in Potomac, MD. She graduated with her B.S. Degree from Penn State University. Caryn then went on to get her teaching certification, as that had always been a life-long dream for her. She currently has her certification in Early Childhood and her Master’s Degree in Education from McDaniel College.
In her spare time, Caryn loves to read novels, go to movies and take long walks with her dogs and family. She also enjoys cooking and traveling although there are now extra hands and gear involved. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the MCC Bethesda Lynbrook Center.
