“Clubhouse is the funnest place in the world and you can do stuff that you usually can’t do like make arts and crafts, play and scream outside, and build cool things. Also, we laugh a lot here." --Mary Grace McGrath, Clubhouse 3rd grader

Meet the Site Director--Erin Rodrigues
Erin has been working for Montgomery Child Care since 2003, and has happily been the Director of Woodacres Clubhouse since 2005. Before she started working with school age children, she enjoyed working in the preschool classrooms at MCCA River Road. Erin has a Bachelor’s degree in English from George Mason University and also teaches the 90 hour early childhood course in development and curriculum, as well as the 45 hour school age curriculum course for Montgomery Child Care, so that she can guide future educators in making the most of their time with children in the classroom. In what little free time she has, Erin enjoys spending time outside with her husband and pets, reading biographies, and relaxing at home. When asked what she enjoys most about working at Woodacres Clubhouse, Erin responded, “The kids teach me something every day. Each day I get to see them learn a new skill, discover a new interest, or try something new and I love that I am there to share those experiences with them.”

Family Testimonials
"Woodacres Clubhouse is both a lifesaver and a joy … Clearly, the essentials are all there to make this program great from the parents' perspective – a well-run program, a great staff, and a convenient location. But the real reason we love Clubhouse is because our kids love Clubhouse: it's warm, it's active, it's full of fun. With so much stress on our kids to perform in a highly structured environment all day long, we adore the fact that after they finish their homework, they can do group activities or crafts or best yet - they can play. They run around outside and scream, they interact with each other, and they just have plain old fun. I'm so glad there's someplace left where our kids can be kids!"
- Susan Hackett
"My boys have loved Clubhouse from day one and it has completely erased one of the biggest stressors of working outside the home. They want to be there as much as possible and have made many friends. The staff embody a combination of compassion, fun, and discipline and I trust them completely. It is a huge relief to know that my boys are so happy and well cared for. " - Rebecca Kullback
"Our daughter loves Clubhouse – she loves seeing all her friends at the end of each day and interacting with students from other classes and grades. We have the peace of mind knowing that she’s in an environment that’s safe, nurturing, and disciplined. We particularly like that Clubhouse’s homework help gives our daughter a running start to homework each afternoon, which makes our home a lot less chaotic in the evenings. As well, we enjoy knowing that our daughter can take occasional after-school clinics at school and that Clubhouse staff will make sure she gets back to where she belongs afterwards without the confusion of carpools." - Candice Charlton
"My two kids have been going to MCCA for many years. What I find most appealing about the Clubhouse is that it is so convenient in that they are located right there at Wood Acres and their hours were just right for me being a single parent. But as time went on, I found much more to be happy about. They are truly engaging with the kids. Lots of activities and their homework club rocks! My kids got most if not all of their homework done prior to me getting off work so we had more time in the evening to enjoy each other! Their summer programs are also one of the best I have seen. My kids choose attending MCCA even once they were able to go to other summer camps!! Finally, and I think most telling, my kids would ask for me not to pick them up until closing time! Now you know this is a great place if they want to stay as long as they can! WOW, what a great resource! I highly recommend it!" - Diane Pitts
