It's not a camp, it's a Summer Adventure*

What was summer like for you as a child? Many of us remember exploring the outdoors, swimming, collecting bugs or rocks or flowers, playing games and just relaxing with friends and enjoying our freedom from the routine of school. At MCCA Summer Adventures, we remember this vision of childhood and bring it to life in our programs.

*At MCCA Summer Adventures, we adhere to the high standards of the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care all year long, with experienced, highly trained adult staff, high staff-to-child ratios and accreditation by MSDE, NAA or NAEYC. Come see the difference.

Summer Adventures Features for Families:

  • Weekly sessions — sign up for the entire summer, or just the weeks you need
  • Convenient hours to meet the needs of working families
  • Experienced, year-round, adult staff
  • Programs for children ages 3 to 12 (please see individual programs for exact ages)
  • Programs are accredited by NAEYC, NAA, or MSDE

Summer Adventures Fun for Kids:

  • Arts & crafts — tie-dye, lanyards, weaving
  • Sports — baseball, soccer, kickball
  • Games — capture the flag, spud, sprout ball
  • Science & nature — egg drops, creek walks, bug hunts
  • Swimming — at local pools, swim facilities and lakes
  • Music & drama — camp songs, skits, making instruments
  • Field trips — baseball games, state parks, fun parks
  • Cooking — s'mores, ice cream, barbecues
