HOW YOU CAN HELP

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

Montgomery Child Care Association welcomes volunteers in our classrooms, to work on special projects, help in fundraising, and serve on our Board of Directors and special committees. If you have a child enrolled in an MCCA program, you are also automatically a member of that program's Parent Council. If you'd like to help, please contact our main office or your MCCA center director.

MCCA's Annual 5K Race and Wacky Fun Run
Coming Again in November 2010

MCCA's 5K Race and Wacky Fun Run raises funds for our Family Emergency Scholarships. The race is held each year at Lake Needwood, Rock Creek Regional Park in Rockville, MD. There are cash prizes for the top 5K finishers, great door prizes for all ages, and plenty of fun activities for the kids. Volunteers are welcome for everything from soliciting sponsorships to helping on race day. Thanks to our 2009 sponsors!

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Family Emergency Scholarship Fund

MCCA's emergency scholarship fund provides temporary tuition assistance to families in MCCA programs who experience a sudden financial hardship, such as job loss or serious illness, that makes them unable to afford their child care.

Richard Krampf Summer Adventures Scholarship Fund
Families who can afford their child care during the school year often struggle to afford the all-day programs they need when school is out for the summer. Richard Krampf Summer Adventures Scholarships help families cope with the increased cost of summer care, and give their children an enjoyable and stimulating place to spend their summer vacations. Combined Federal Campaign #13880 and United Way #8447:
Please help us "Share the Care."

Most families can afford their child care tuition, but for those who can't, your United Way or Combined Federal Campaign contribution helps us bridge the gap between inadequate government child care vouchers and the full cost of care at Montgomery Child Care Association programs. When you designate Montgomery Child Care Association in your workplace campaign, you help us share MCCA's high quality child care with children from low-income families right in our neighborhood.

Staff Scholarship Fund

MCCA's Staff Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to child care staff taking college courses or pursuing the Child Development Associate credential. Your contribution helps our child care professionals achieve higher levels of education, and directly impacts the quality of care for MCCA families.

MCCA Development Fund

Your contribution to our Development Fund is an unrestricted gift toward long range projects, improved staff benefits and education, and expanded services for our children.
