The Heart in Child Care
Staff Involvement
At Montgomery Child Care Association, we encourage staff to share their ideas about everything from
personnel issues to classroom curriculum to community events. We see
our staff as key stakeholders in decision-making, and provide many
opportunities for your involvement, at all levels:
Committees
-
Creative Curriculum Workgroup: Staff representatives
from each MCCA center meet monthly to advance the use of The Creative
Curriculum® in our programs.

School Age Networking Group: A monthly opportunity for
schoolage staff to network and share best practices.

Directors and Asst. Directors Sharing Meetings: Monthly
opportunities for training, information sharing, networking and support.

MCCA Personnel Committee: Staff and parents work together
to improve staff compensation and work standards.
Events

MCCA 5K Race and Half-Mile Fun Run/Walk. Held each
November, a community event for staff, kids and families, and serious
runners, too, and a fundraiser for our Family Emergency Scholarship Fund.

MCCA Family Nights Out. Held a few nights each year, a
fundraiser, relaxed social gathering, and a great excuse not to cook.
MCCA families and staff meet for dinner at a casual local restaurant,
and MCCA receives a percentage of each family's tab.
